Concept Map
I created a concept/idea map with Webspiration to generate questions and ideas for this project. I posted the creation on this blog as a separate page: Italy Idea Map.
Social Bookmarks
I used two tools for this assignment. I began with a tool I have used before, Delicious than switched mid-stream to Diigo, a new tool for me but with enhanced capabilities to help me get organized! You can see my bookmarks at my Delicious account and my Diigo account.
Electronic Communication Tool
I used Survey Monkey to create a survey and posted my creation at Facebook, a social networking site. This was a form of electronically communicating with people through a survey. I have posted a sample chart of the results of one of my questions on this blog. Unfortunately, only two people responded, but the process was very fun and motivating. This was a great tool to gather some general information in an uncontrolled environment.
Productivity Tool
I created a complex PowerPoint presentation which utilizes sound, animation, text, and graphics to convey what I learned and wanted to communicate about my inquiry project. I posted the for public viewing to my Oncourse account. Please note: It is best viewed using MS PowerPoint 2008 or higher. Also it is intended to be viewed as a Slide Show presentation. I also used a scanner to scan older print photos as well as personal digital photos to enhance the PowerPoint presentation with a personal connection.
Notetaking Tool
As indicated above, I used Diigo which I listed in Social Bookmarking. However, for the purpose of this project, I found Diigo more useful than Delicious to highlight and take notes on various sections of the sites I discovered.
